The Junior Service League of Forsyth County was founded on August 14, 2006, by twenty-six young Forsyth County women who wanted to work for the betterment of their community. These women will be forever known as ‘founding members’.In the months leading up to that initial Informational meeting, a small group of women came together and determined there was a need for an organization that would focus on community service to women and children. Even in an affluent community such as ours, there is still a tremendous need to serve the portion of our population who, on their own, may not be able to meet the very basic of human needs. As women, who may or may not have children, we feel called to serve in this capacity.
